Delivery & Preparation
From Our Workshop
to Your Backyard
Your sauna arrives crated, on a freight truck. Here’s exactly what that means for your property, and what to have ready.
Explore the delivery journeyBefore you orderCrate dimensions, fees, and what’s included differ by model and manufacturer. We confirm yours in writing before you buy. Nothing here is a quote.
Delivery Journey
We don't publish timeframes. You get a real date for your order, not an average.

Model, address, and phone confirmed.
Crafted
Built and crated at the factory.
Freight
Ships on a freight network, terminal to terminal.
Appointment
Your local terminal calls to schedule.
Arrival
Curbside. You unload.
Assemble
A ready-to-assemble kit, on your prepared base.
What to Expect
Freight Delivery
- The truck may be an 18-wheeler.
- It needs road width, overhead clearance, and somewhere safe to stop.
Curbside Arrival
- Delivered to the curb, or the end of your driveway.
- Not to the backyard, and not to where it will be assembled.
You Unload
- The carrier's driver is not responsible for unloading.
- Have equipment or people ready before the truck arrives.
The Crate
Typical across our primary sauna manufacturer's sauna range. Yours is confirmed before purchase.
6–14 feet
Crate length
800–1,600 lb
Crate weight
Will a liftgate be available?
≤ 84in
A liftgate may be possible. Never guaranteed, so plan to unload it yourself anyway.
> 84in
No liftgate. You arrange unloading. Sauna crates commonly run past this.
Ways to get it off the truck
- A forklift or other suitable machinery at your property
- Picking the crate up yourself from the freight terminal with a trailer
- A tilt tow truck
- An adequately prepared crew, where the crate size and weight allow it
Can’t arrange one? We can have our primary sauna manufacturer organize a tilt tow truck for $1,250. Arranging your own is almost always cheaper.
Prepare Your Property
Level foundation
A concrete pad, patio stones, or a suitable deck: level, stable, ready before delivery.
Delivery access
Road width, turning room, overhead clearance, weight limits, and a safe place to stop.
Unloading plan
Equipment or people arranged in advance, not decided on delivery day.
Heater & accessories
May be sold separately, and sized to your sauna's cubic footage. Settle it alongside the sauna.
Delivery Inspection
If a crate arrives damaged, the first few minutes matter more than anything after.
Inspect the crate
Check it for damage before the driver leaves.
Take photos
Photograph the damage before anything is moved.
Note it on the BOL
Write the damage on the Bill of Lading before signing, then accept the shipment unless told otherwise.
Contact PineHeat
Send us the photos and the annotated Bill of Lading. We take it from there.
