Shipping Policy
Shipping policy
PineHeat is an authorized retailer, so your order ships from the manufacturer that makes it. That has one practical consequence worth stating up front: shipping terms are not identical across everything we sell. This page separates what’s always true from what depends on the manufacturer, and from what depends on the specific product.
Section 1
General PineHeat shipping information
These apply to every order we take, regardless of which manufacturer supplies it.
We ship from the manufacturer, not from a PineHeat warehouse
Orders are shipped directly by the manufacturer or their freight partner. We coordinate the order and support you through it; we don’t hold stock ourselves.
Large items ship as freight, not parcel
Saunas, and other large items, travel on freight networks in wooden crates. Freight delivery works differently from a parcel courier. It involves terminals, delivery appointments, and customer unloading. Our Delivery & Preparation guide explains it in full.
You confirm the shipping address and phone number at order time
The carrier needs both to arrange delivery. Address changes after an order has shipped generally cost money, so it’s worth checking carefully.
We confirm the terms for your order before you buy
Delivery method, applicable fees, crate details, and what’s included are confirmed with you in writing before purchase, not left to be discovered at delivery.
Delivery timeframes
To be confirmedWe don’t publish production or transit times yet. They vary by manufacturer, model, and destination, and we’d rather give you a real estimate for your order than an average that may not hold. Confirmed lead times are still to be established with each manufacturer.
Shipping outside the United States
To be confirmedPineHeat intends to serve Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. Shipping terms, duties, and taxes for those markets are still being established and aren’t offered yet. Figures on this site are USD and apply to United States deliveries.
Returns and cancellation
To be confirmedReturn and cancellation terms, including who pays return freight on a crated item, are still being finalized and will be published here and on a dedicated returns page before they apply to any order.
Section 2
Manufacturer-specific freight terms
Each manufacturer runs their own residential freight program with their own fee schedule and unloading rules. The terms below belong to one manufacturer’s program and do not automatically apply to anything else we sell. Where we carry a product from a manufacturer whose terms differ, the product page shows that manufacturer’s terms instead.
Residential freight program: our primary sauna manufacturer
Applies to saunas supplied under this program, for deliveries within the United States.
- Delivery point
- Curbside, or the end of your driveway.
- Unloading
- The carrier is not responsible for unloading. You arrange it.
- Residential drop-ship charge
- $320 on sauna orders.
- Liftgate
- May sometimes be available for crates 84 inches or shorter. Never guaranteed. Longer crates require customer-arranged unloading.
- Tilt tow truck, if arranged for you
- $1,250.
- Address change after dispatch
- $350.
- Terminal storage
- $35per day, where delivery is delayed on the customer’s side after the shipment reaches the local terminal.
Full explanation of each of these, and how to plan for them, is in the Delivery & Preparation guide.
Other manufacturers
As we add manufacturers to the range, each one’s freight terms are published here alongside the program above. We don’t apply one manufacturer’s fees or unloading rules to another’s products, and we won’t list terms for a manufacturer before those terms are confirmed.
Section 3
Product-specific details, shown before purchase
Some details can only be stated per product, because they genuinely differ from one model to the next. These appear in the “Before You Order” section of the product page, and are confirmed with you before you buy:
Crate dimensions and weight for that model
Whether liftgate delivery could be an option for that crate
The residential delivery fee that applies
What base or foundation the model requires
Whether a heater is included or sold separately
Anything else that has to be arranged before delivery day
Where a product page shows one of these as pending confirmation, it means we don’t have the manufacturer’s confirmed figure yet, not that it doesn’t apply. Ask us and we’ll confirm it for the model you’re considering.
Not sure how delivery will work at your property?
Talk to us before you order. We’ll go through your road access, driveway, and unloading plan with you, and confirm the crate details for the specific model you’re considering.
